About the Park

Hoppe‑Cofrancesco Memorial Field has been a cornerstone of Bethany’s recreational life for decades. The original Hoppe Field served as the community’s primary baseball field before the addition of Cofrancesco Field, which was constructed between 1981 and 1982 and officially dedicated on June 26, 1982. In 1998, the Bethany Athletic Association (BAA) created and dedicated the Harris Hoppe Trail, a one‑third‑mile walking loop around the fields.

The BAA has long been the steward of the site, building the field house in 1976, managing programming, and donating adjacent land in 1992 to ensure the property would remain reserved for recreation.
